Utah has the Highest Home Ownership in the US!

Home ownership in Utah is among the highest in the country.  (See KSL article Here.)  Isn't that awesome? Numbers from the Association of Realtors show in 2008, home ownership in Utah was 76.2 percent, the second highest in the country. That number fell to 72.5 percent in 2010, but remains well above the national rate of 66.9 percent. Builders see biggest rise in home sale in months!

Once again we are seeing that the economy is coming around.  National numbers are great!  According to the U.S. Department of commerce, new construction of single family homes rose 1.3 percent in October.  In the west, all new construction rose 14 percent!! Utah is #3 for most expensive closing costs!!!

The national average closing costs are $4070 and Utahns have paid $4906 on average when their house closes.  We pay more than Californians.  Only New Yorkers and Texans are paying more.
